Friends of the Quinebaug Valley Senior Center is the nonprofit 501(c)(3) partner of the Quinebaug Valley Senior Center in Brooklyn, CT.
Our mission
We raise money so older adults across our ten Quinebaug Valley towns can keep living actively and independently — sharing meals, getting where they need to go, learning, and passing on what they know.
How your gift helps
Hot lunches & good company
$35 sponsors ten weekday lunches, so a neighbor who lives alone shares a meal and a conversation.
Rides that keep people independent
$60 fills the Center van, getting seniors to doctor visits, groceries and the Center on their own terms.
Classes, clubs and skill-sharing
$100 stocks the activity room with art supplies, cards, yarn and puzzles for member-led groups.
You can also give in memory or in honor of someone; we let their family know without sharing the amount.
